Breath | Jania Aebi

Breathing is such a fundamental aspect of our life, and we just take it for granted.

I have realized we can start, and stop doing almost anything else, but we can’t stop our breath. It’s a gift from Spirit, within which is inherent everything else in our life. The choice of how we use that gift is ours, is yours, is mine.

With the in-breath, we take in what we need for our life and transmute it through our consciousness; with the out-breath, we give to the world around us what the world needs. Both materially, and spiritually. As material beings we breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide; as spiritual beings we breathe in the perfection of our Spirit and all its attributes, and breathe out our consciousness, or representation of Spirit.

Just as an aside, when our representation is in alignment with what Spirit is, knows and has, we experience “good”; when our representation does not reflect what Spirit is, we experience “bad”. It’s as simple as that.

Our breathing is a micro representation of the breath of our Spirit, which breathes Itself out into the material body, giving to it its perfect Life; and again, how we use that life is our choice. When Spirit breathes in, it is the last out-breath of our life. We return to being Spirit, infinite and eternal. Our whole life is just one breath of God.
