For most people, being free is very high on their list of desires. Which basically means, that they don’ feel they are free.  Consider the fact that your Soul is always free, and since you are your Soul, it would be normal for you to be free.

The problem is, we don’t really and truly believe we are that spiritual Soul we get told about; we believe we are a body with a name and a personality that’s walking around on earth. We have been conditioned into that belief ever since we took our first breath.

It took a while for us to really understand that we were a person separate from our mother and separate from everything else, that lived in a world filled with things where there were certain rules we had to obey and if we didn’t, the result would be pain in some form or another.

Coming from a world where we were completely free, where pain and punishment were unknown, it meant that “here” was different from “there”, that “here” we were not free to express ourselves as we wanted, and in order to not experience pain, we would have to adjust our behavior to what others deemed acceptable. That was the beginning of our lack of freedom, giving our power away to our parents, family, teachers, and then finally to the society we now lived in as a person with a certain name, which we completely identified with by the time we were 6 years old or so.

That was not a mistake, that’s how things were set up so we could consciously grow to return to the Divinity we came from in the first place. So when you get triggered, notice the limiting or fearful feeling very similar to one you had in early childhood when your behavior caused you some pain that you have been carrying with you all these years, buried in your subconscious. That was for your protection, since you did not have enough understanding then to see the true reality of what was happening and so could not deal with the situation.

Now that similar emotion is coming up from your subconscious into the conscious, because you are now an adult with enough understanding to see what that situation was really about, and that it is no longer relevant to the person you are now; so you allow yourself to fully feel that feeling without rejecting it or stuffing it down; it’s only an emotion and it can’t hurt you or harm you, and it’s been waiting for your acceptance of it for so long!

It has a right to live, like any other emotion, and your acceptance, maybe even love for a part of you that you have so far rejected will allow it to dissolve its negative aspect and reveal the positive divine aspect that was hiding under the appearance. Watch it as if it was a movie, become aware of the feelings the little child had and from your adult perspective realize it was just a program given you by your parents or religion or society; it was not a part of the Real You, the Spirit who you still are.

It was just an experience that helped you grow in some way, and is not needed any more, since you have understood its meaning and lesson. You can see how it benefited you in becoming the person you are now, and so you can thank it and release it from your energy field, making room for the truths about Yourself that you now know. Because so much more is waiting to become a part of your life, so many untapped abilities that are in your soul, impatient to become a part of you when in mind and consciousness you re-identify with your spiritual Self while still living in the world of form as far as is necessary. That will be necessary until the moment of your death.  There is no freedom when you identify with the body and the material self; your freedom is waiting for you when you identify with your soul, Spirit, while still living in the world, but not of it, as it says in the Bible.
