The American people have chosen their next President. Some people feel elated, others are fearful, disappointed, and sad. But facts remain facts: when it rains, we can’t do anything about that; when the sun shines, we can’t do anything about that either. In a democracy, all we can do is accept the situation and find the gift and blessing in it.

That is done on an individual level and each of us must choose whether we will bring more understanding, kindness, love, allowance, harmony, and clear thinking to the situation we are faced with, or whether we will lash out with anger and frustration, feeling disempowered, helpless and desperate.

Through the principle of oneness, because at our core, we are just one energy, how we use that energy is our responsibility. Do we want to use it in ways that bring more Light and Goodness into the world, or in ways that don’t?

Let me speak to those who are unhappy about the outcome of these elections.

When we are apprehensive of what might happen – and we can influence what will happen in the world through our thoughts and feelings — ; When we expect the worst outcome, we are giving our energy to that worst outcome.

Instead, even if we don’t believe that good can come to America in the next 4 years, we can be certain that we really don’t know what will happen; but we can decide to do our best to make things turn out for the highest good of all.

And since most of us are not in governmental positions where we can actually physically act to improve the areas where we see poverty and shortcomings, lack and limitation — we can pray and send goodwill to the President-elect and all those in power asking for them to be blessed with illumination, compassion, wisdom and integrity; with peace, joy, love for every expression of life and trust in the divine.

After all, when your children are acting in ways you don’t approve of and don’t like, if their school work is not up to standard, does it help to get upset and angry with them? Your understanding, assistance and support in their troubles will be of far greater help.

We are all children of the divine Source, whatever our human concepts and actions. Let us act as adults with the highest divine qualities we are able to command at this time, regardless of what other people are feeling and expressing. Let us remember that all we think and feel is sent out into the world to be added to the balance of Light and Dark. So let us together send a wave of peace, kindness and a blessing toward Donald Trump. That is our sacred responsibility as expressions of the divine.
