When we see conflict, disagreement, destruction, discord being perpetrated, we start wondering if there even is a God? what we don’t see is the tremendous spiritual Light that is pushing the negativity to the surface where it can be transmuted through the higher awareness of conscious beings who realize that those who act destructively are in the infancy of their spiritual development, like a bully at school.

While you can stop a seven-year-old bully, you are usually not in a position to do anything about grown-up destructiveness you hear about or see on TV. Realize that adding your anger, resentment or crusade against something will not make matters better, will not add Light to the situation, but is just adding your negative feelings to the ones already there.

Right now, humanity is comparable to a two-year-old throwing a temper tantrum. The parent looks at them with compassion for their troubles, that are so huge and overwhelming to them, knowing the child doesn’t have the full understanding of the situation as yet; and patiently waits for them to calm down, just sending unconditional love, because rejecting or punishing them will only make things worse. The child might get some bumps and bruises in the process, and those will hopefully teach it not to do the same thing again next time it doesn’t get what it wants.

Our present challenges stem from our lack of understanding of the bigger picture our soul lives in, and wants us to access. We do hurt ourselves in the process of expanding our consciousness, but if we’re willing to learn from our bumps, we’ll get less and less of them as the gap between Spirit’s consciousness and ours diminishes.

I trust that you’ve now got a clearer idea of how it is that God is good, but we still have our challenges!

And let’s always remember that it is our thoughts and beliefs that create our experiences, so be determined to live in the most joyful, harmonious, loving and compassionate frame of mind you can achieve in every moment, including moments of challenge.
