We have all been told that in order to amount to something, make something of our lives, earn enough money, be happy…, we need to work hard. Most of us don’t like the idea of hard work, it has a certain heaviness and lack of joy around it, we like things to happen easily, joyfully and gracefully.
Let’s try to move away from the fixed position, the assumption, that work is always hard and unpleasant. In other words, change our perception. “Work” means doing things. Having an occupation also means doing things. Expressing yourself is also doing things! You can be doing things that fill you with joy, with inspiration and happiness. Doing that, and also getting paid for it would be the joining together of two of the most beautiful intentions a person could have. Doing what you love, and earning a good income at the same time.
And it must start with the doing what you love part. Just like a child starts their day with thinking about the things they will do when they get up, going outside, climbing a tree, jumping into the pool, riding an imaginary unicorn, or having a tea-party with fairies, they imagine their whole day, and already they are joyful before even starting on it.
You can do the same thing, bring your positive imagination to everything you will do today! “Great, I will do this and this! and I will have so much fun doing it, because I know it will bring happiness and joy to everyone around me, and I will also learn so much, and have a good time with the people I will meet and create things with. How wonderful! And in addition, I will get paid for having such a joyful experience. How does it get better than this? “
Know that you are creating your reality with the thoughts you have about it, the ways in which you perceive the events that are unfolding. They will unfold regardless of what you do, but your experience of them totally depends on you and your perceptions.
