Why do we have life?

We have all, at some point in life, asked ourselves what am I here for? What’s the point of life? What am I here to do, why was I born? Every answer you have come up with, if it stays in the realm of material achievement, material manifestation, material having or doing, in the end will prove to be not enough to make you happy and fulfilled.

Life is a gift received from your soul which is divine invisible energy.  You may think your parents gave you life, but that is not so; they have given you your body, but it’s Spirit that infused itself into the fetus to give it life, meaning growth and development.

Spirit wanted to expand its spiritual, invisible, static potential into visibility, and we call that moment the Big Bang, where life became visible.  Since then, it has been developing into more and more complex forms of life. Until it reached a stage, about 200’000 years ago, as science now tells us, when humans, as homo sapiens, came into being. Science tells us “what” had happened then, a change in our DNA, but the “how” remains a mystery.

So the reason for our soul coming into expression as a human being is so that it could express more of its infinite potential in visibility. That’s the agenda of the soul when it incarnated as you. And it gave you free will, the power of choice, so that you could freely choose which qualities of Source Energy you wanted to express.

Nature does not have that possibility; the oak tree serves the ecosystem by producing acorns, the apple tree cannot choose to produce cherries or pears, the rose bush will always express divinity as either pink, yellow or white roses.  We can interfere with nature and make it produce something different, but that imbalances the perfect functioning of nature, and that’s where our problems come from.

We are here as the guardians and stewards of nature and to bring into visibility all the attributes of divinity.  We already have a permanent connection with Source within us that is peace, joy, harmony, love and freedom, health, wealth, support, kindness, beauty, clarity, balance and abundance – and whatever other good quality you can think of.

It’s our prerogative to choose which of the qualities of Spirit to express, and the way in which we express them.  The job you have, the work you do in life has no incidence on you being an expression of your soul qualities. Love, kindness, appreciation, support, abundance can be expressed by anyone, a teacher, a plumber, a CEO, an artist, a musician, even a beggar.  Who you choose to be, rather than what you choose to do, is the most important thing.

We have life so as to bring into this world as many of the qualities of Spirit as possible – that’s our function here, and that was the agenda of your soul when it became you.  The more we do that, the happier and more fulfilled we become.
