I believe I can safely assume that we all, without exception, have some issue, pain or discomfort in the body. When it comes from some external cause, like a little stone in your shoe, or a stick poking you in the back, we don’t think twice about it, we set about removing the cause of the discomfort.

When there is no apparent external cause there must be some hidden internal cause which is not as easy to see, but must be removed nevertheless, if the pain or discomfort is to disappear. But we never start by trying to find that internal cause and removing that.

We have been told over and over again, even by the most recent psychological and scientific discoveries that our beliefs, limiting thought patterns and repressed emotions are the cause or at least a contributing cause of most, if not all of our physical imbalances, aches and pains. Our negative thoughts, beliefs, feelings, and emotions that we push out of sight and lock deep inside ourselves are the things that cause an imbalance in the energy field, which in turn and over time, creates an imbalance in the physical aspect, that we start complaining about.

It would make sense to let go of the energetic imbalance first, to remove the cause, and only then start using whatever seems best to alleviate the pain, such as creams, drugs, and prescription medication. How to do that? It can be helpful, but it’s not always possible to know which of our habitual thoughts or beliefs has been the cause of a particular ailment, because sometimes it has been acquired at a very young age, even in the womb, or it can come from our ancestral lines or past lives. Luckily, our pure intent of letting go of these patterns and not re-creating them again through our judgments, criticisms and negative thoughts and behaviors, is enough.

Pure intent is not an intent to get rid of the condition; but to be free from anything in our make-up that is not the purity of the Spirit that is our Real identity; so to stop all thoughts of lack and limitation, of inadequacy of any sort, to stop repressing our emotions, but acknowledging them to ourselves; accepting that right now, I am upset and angry, but who is it that’s upset and angry? The person I see in the mirror called my name, the ego, or my True Self, who can see every nuance and perspective of the current situation, which is very different from the one perspective the ego has. The True Self takes a moment of reflection, so as to be able to respond in the kindest and most peaceful way through its vehicle in this world, you, who has taken the time to turn to the Real You for its guidance.

Our pure intent, and dominion over our thoughts, words, feelings and actions, when committed to and consistently practiced, together with taking any practical actions that are appropriate, will over time, take care of our imbalances. Remember it took time for you to establish negative habits, in fact, it took all your life up to now! So it will take a little time too, to reverse them.
