Today, I went shopping and was standing at the parking-ticket machine behind a
masked man who was (unsuccessfully!) trying to punch out the numbers of his license-
plate. We were outside, in the open, it was a beautiful sunny day with a soft breeze
blowing.

I knew a mask would be needed to go into the store, so I had mine in my hand, ready to
put on at the last possible minute before stepping through the doors.

Not only was he masked when there is no requirement (and never has been, where I
live) to wear a mask outside in the open, but he was also holding a Kleenex wrapped
around the index finger of the hand he was using to punch the right numbers. This was
what was making it so difficult for him, as he was always hitting the next space!

He started over several times, while I was thinking how afraid he must be of breathing in
the virus; wondering if he also slept with it on; afraid of it attaching to his finger
touching a panel other people have touched; wondering whether the Kleenex was
actually removing any viruses from the surface; wondering whether he had sprayed a
disinfectant on it before wrapping it around his finger; and then realizing I was just
patiently waiting, when normally I would be very irritated!
So I sent him a silent thank you for my new-found patience, and a blessing to dissolve all
his fears of getting infected, which I knew would be the #1 cause of catching it if he did,
and of it being difficult to heal. As I was finishing the blessing, he gave up and went off
without completing the transaction.

So I sent him and his car another blessing and a request to his Angels to steer away any
people checking on the validity of the parking space. And went on to punch in my
license number on a panel so thoughtfully cleaned by another, which I would have never
thought of cleaning.

Life becomes so good, when even viruses and irritants are turned into blessings!
