Question: I have constant chronic pain, and am doing what I can to heal it, to accept it and I
don’t feel resistance. But how does the pain ever end? If I accept it, it just stays, and never
goes away?

Now to answer your question.  I would challenge your words I don’t feel resistance. If you
had REALLY accepted the pain, had seen it’s for your ultimate highest evolution, that it’s for
you, not against you, you would never have asked how does the pain ever end? You see
what I mean?  You would never want anything that is good for you to end!

If you want the pain to end, it means you don’t like it, don’t want it, don’t accept it. There is
nothing wrong with not liking it or not wanting it – none of us like having pain.  But look at it
this way: if your pain was an emotion, which emotion would it be?  Sink into this question,
and let the answer come from deep inside you, not from your mind.  Sit with the question
and feel.

What are your feelings about this pain?  What are your feelings, or judgments, about
yourself because you have this pain? What does that make you? And you’re allowed not to
like this pain, hate it even, that’s being honest about it! But usually, what we do is think: I
shouldn’t be feeling this way, it’s not nice, I should know better, it’s not spiritual!! However
you put if for yourself. That is resistance. Resistance to what is.

So give yourself full permission to feel all your feelings about it: I feel upset, or sad or angry, ,
and I am allowed to feel this way! Every feeling is welcome, and I consciously allow myself to
feel this feeling. It’s okay!  Every feeling is as gift, whether I see it as such or not.  Your ego
doesn’t have to like something in order for your soul to recognize how it’s assisting you. So
sit with every feeling in turn with love, allowance and acceptance, and you will notice that
they start to dissolve. By shining the light of your allowance and acceptance on it, you have
come a little closer to the vibration of your Presence, which is total and unconditional love
and acceptance of EVERYTHING.

That’s one part of my answer.

The second part is, basically we misunderstand what true healing is. True healing is first and
foremost, transforming your relationship with the situation, disease or pain; meaning, the
healing of your human consciousness, from which can come physical healing as well, under
certain conditions. If every morning and every night, you said to your Presence: thank you
for this condition, thank you so much! That’s practicing gratitude.

At first, this will not feel authentic, but by embracing and loving your condition, you are
bringing the positive energy of gratitude to a manifestation of lack, pain or limitation. You
are using gratitude to return that condition, whatever it is, to its original form of perfection.
And if the divine plan is for that condition to dissolve, that will happen as a result of the high
vibration you are bringing to the situation; and if it’s not meant to shift, or not yet meant to
shift, then that gratitude is going to help you have the best possible experience of that
condition.

So even though your intention and focus was not on healing this, very many times it will

result in a healing; because if your focus is on getting rid of something, (Your question how
does the pain ever end
?) it actually blocks your ability to transform your relationship with
the condition. We’re actually using that unwelcome manifestation to be the thing that
propels us into our highest potential: unconditional love, allowance and acceptance.
This is not a one-time thing. I’ve been grateful or I’ve accepted, so, when is it going to end?
The very question has put you back into resistance and you have to start all over again.  You
know the quote:  “Infinite patience brings immediate results!” It’s not easy, it takes time,
consistency and determination – but it’s the only way to slowly bring ourselves into union
with the Presence, where no adverse condition exists.

And as we progress in our allowance and acceptance of everything unwanted that’s facing us
– because it is also a part of divinity, the same as everything we like – while doing what we
can, physically, to improve the situation, bit by bit things will start getting better. But always,
your consciousness and your focus are the first, and most important part of any healing.
