Lucky breaks are miracles

The other day I forgot to add a meeting I was to have to my calendar, and so at the appointed time, didn’t call.  They phoned me, so I immediately connected via Internet, but being flustered by the whole thing, didn’t take the time to do my usual process with Internet, that had been problematic, of loving all the wires and plugs and connections, up to even “the cloud” and telling them to show me the perfection they really are, as pure God Energy.

And so, 10 minutes into the call, I get disconnected.  I try to re-connect several times – it doesn’t work; I send them a text saying I will try again to re-connect before the end of the call, and decide, instead of going on to do other things, I would spend the time in meditation – since it was a group meditation call anyway.

Then the thought came to turn to the divine and ask it to re-establish the connection; and I tried the link again.  Wow! It opened up, and never gave the slightest trouble for the rest of that hour.

The “normal” reaction would be: “Aren’t I lucky!”  and dismiss it as that. This time, I realized the help we need in any situation is always available if we ask for it sincerely and with no underlying, or subconscious agenda; and I had decided to spend the time in meditation anyway, instead of getting on with everyday human tasks. Spirit knew it would serve me better to be actually connected to the group – and so the connection came back. I was going to have that connection with Spirit whether Internet came back or not; so getting the connection was not important any more. That’s surrender.

As I realized all that, such a wave of gratitude washed over me that I started to cry and could hardly get any words out to the participants. The feeling of being One with my higher Self, the feeling of power and invincibility and humility was so strong that tears kept coming throughout the call, and I will never forget that feeling.

But it has to be embodied in order to become a permanent part of our life; and so whenever you feel lucky, or things work out as you want them to be, don’t dismiss it and go on with life; take the time and space to really notice, recognize it for what it is, your Spirit giving you what you need in this moment, and become truly grateful for it.

And then, when something happens you don’t much like, don’t dismiss it either, or try to immediately solve it; but recognize it for what it really is, your Spirit giving you what you need – not necessarily what you want – and that is, an opportunity to turn your attention to Spirit with love and recognition that everything happens only for your evolution, even if you don’t know how! Then your actions to resolve the problem come from a place of connection to God, and will bear rich fruit.
