How to instantly Become Happier

If life right now seems at its lowest ebb, if things seem to go wrong all the time, there is only one reason for it: your consciousness is not in alignment with your soul. Your attention is mostly, if not totally, on your experiences of lack, limitation, disease or poverty.

Your soul which is divine, is infinitely and eternally peaceful, joyful, harmonious and abundant. That’s the Source of peace, joy, harmony and abundance for you, if instead of focusing on the material shortcomings, you gave at least 50% of your attention to the qualities of your soul, to reach a 50/50 balance point between the good, and the bad you are experiencing.

Even if you think there is nothing good in your life, think again: the sun is shining, giving warmth and light to you and the planet; rain is falling, providing water; you have a cell-phone that works (I’ve seen beggars pull out their cell-phone!) providing instant communication with family and friends. You have your two legs, a bicycle, a motorbike or a car to get around in.

You have a refrigerator filled with food, you have plumbing in your house bringing water to your faucets, and taking away dirty water. You have electricity to cook your food and give light when it gets dark outside. You have both your arms, that allow you to do things.

When you really think about it, you live the life of a millionaire compared to some, that we hear about every day on the news.

But even if now, you can’t find a single thing right that makes you happy, there is still something you can do to reach that connection with your soul, which you must have in order to download its joy and abundance through you into your world.

Just turn your thoughts to some happy and joyful event in the past, like a Christmas morning with presents under the tree, or the amazing trip you took with your very special friend or spouse. If that’s not possible, imagine your feelings if you were told you just won the lottery! Keep your thoughts on any happy event you can remember or imagine.

Do it right now and sit with those feelings of happiness and joy washing over you, and notice how those other thoughts of lack, sadness or not enough have faded away. In those brief moments, you were happy again, and when you’re happy, you’re aligned with your soul.

Whenever having to focus on the upsetting circumstances is necessary to make them better, do it, but make sure you don’t keep revolving that situation in your mind. Consistently turn your attention back to thoughts that make you happy, and you will be surprised how quickly your life will start turning around, in spite of circumstances that can’t be helped by feeling sad or despondent.
