Putting our attention on something, is what tells the Universe that’s what we are interested in, that’s what we desire, and the Universe is designed to fulfill our every wish, just like the genie in the bottle! So first, be mindful to not put your attention on the things that you don’t want!

And this goes for your conscious, and sub-conscious desires, the programming that is running us 95% of our waking time. We don’t often consciously put our attention on what we want; and since only 5% of our time we are consciously thinking of something, those thoughts don’t have much power behind them. What percentage of that 5% are you focusing on what you want to create in your life?

Usually, we are thinking about a project for our job, of what’s on our to-do list, of what to get as a birthday present for a friend, how to deal with our kids and a million other things that basically, we wish we didn’t have to do. Envisioning what we really want our life to look like is considered a waste of time, and when children do it, it’s called day-dreaming or being lazy.

No wonder that by the time we are adults, we have probably not achieved our dream life, and are struggling with all kinds of challenges, mental, emotional or physical – maybe all three! We are so busy making money, that we don’t have the time to enjoy it.

We have forgotten that thought is what really creates, and when we direct the power of our thought towards the outcome that we desire, and feel what it would feel like to have that desire already manifested in its visible form, then the actions we take are inspired by our vision and don’t feel like a chore.

Instead, they feel joyful, since they are the steps that take us closer to our dream. Then, we need to let go of the picture we have created in our mind as our vision, and focus on the feeling we have inside when contemplating it. Because we don’t really know what is best for us; we have had so many desires that didn’t manifest, and now we are happy they didn’t, because we have something so much better!

The same with your present desire; in a week, a month or a year, you could be desiring something else, and this, if you got it, would be a hindrance to that. But you can never go wrong when desiring joy, happiness, abundance, peace and harmony – those are desires that will never change. A picture is only helpful if it gets you to that state of being in joy. Then it’s best to let go of the image, and keep focusing on the quality you really desire beyond the material thing.
