Life is full of challenges and obstacles that can sometimes dim our inner light. I would like to explore with you how to cultivate and nurture your inner light, even in the face of darkness. There are, of course, as many ways to do this as there are people in the world, because we are all unique expressions of the One Divinity that has within Itself every aspect and quality that we term “good” and only that.
Then It created us in Its image and likeness, so having all the same qualities, including the ability to create, ability to choose what to think, believe and do. While what we term “Bad/Evil” does not exist in God’s world or vocabulary, and has never been created. God’s world is One, perfect Unity, infinite, eternal, changeless and spiritual, i.e. invisible to the human sight. While the world of Duality, meaning Two, is finite, temporal, always changing and material, in varying degrees of density, mostly visible to human sight.
So what we perceive as less than good is just our thoughts of separation from the eternal good of Source energy that have become our beliefs, and then our experience in the world of duality where our personal identity exists.
One of the most powerful ways to maintain our inner light amidst darkness is through the practice of mindfulness. By staying present and grounded in the present moment, you can avoid getting caught up in negative thought patterns or external stress that threaten to extinguish your light. Take time each day to meditate, breathe deeply, and center yourself in the truth of your being.
Another essential aspect of cultivating your inner light is self-care. There’s a difference between self-care and personal care. Personal care is what you do for your physical self; while self-care is looking after your spiritual Self. Treat yourself with the same love and compassion you would offer to a dear friend. Prioritize activities that replenish your energy and nourish your soul, whether it’s taking a long bath, going for a walk in nature, reading inspirational material, meditating, or indulging in your favorite hobbies.
It’s also crucial to set healthy boundaries and protect your energy from external influences that drain your light. Surround yourself with people who uplift and support you, go on a media-fast, and don’t be afraid to say no to anything that doesn’t align with your highest idea of good.
Lastly, remember that even in the darkest moments, your inner light remains undiminished. Trust in the inherent goodness and resilience of your spirit, and know that you have the power to overcome any challenge that comes your way.
By practicing mindfulness, self-care, and setting healthy boundaries, you can cultivate and nurture your inner light, allowing it to shine brightly even in the darkness. Know and embrace the inherent radiance of your being and let your inner light illuminate the world around you.
