The spiritual being we are is all-powerful and doesn’t need any help or assistance. It is a part of Source, Consciousness, but you have to know it in order to benefit from its omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence. How many of us truly know that, and more importantly, live as though it was true? Not many! And it’s our actions, not what we say, that show our true beliefs.
But most of the time, we don’t live in the consciousness of a spiritual being, but in the consciousness of a human, imperfect and powerless being, so we all need help and assistance in many ways, at different times, but that does not invalidate our being capable of looking after, and doing things for ourselves.
As human beings, we have used our minds and resourcefulness to create all kinds of structures and machines to help us do things we currently can’t do, and feel no shame or belittlement in using them. On the contrary, we are proud of our achievements!
So the question that sometimes comes up for people starting out on the spiritual path, where we are told we are a powerful emanation of Divinity, Spirit itself, is, that if we are so powerful, why do we need the assistance of our Guides and Angels? In fact, are we not giving our power away to them when we ask for their help?
The answer to that lies in what we are expecting our God-team of helpers to do! Remember, they don’t have physical bodies, they are spiritual beings and can’t and won’t do our chores for us. You are the physical being that must do things in this 3D world, they are there to support you with insights, ideas, intuitions when to do what, how best to achieve the result you want. They are just waiting for you to ask for their help. They are not allowed to help unless you ask – that’s part of your job because you have free will! As is the physical action that must be taken in order for your desire to become manifest.
Their job is to make your life easier, to support your efforts, to encourage you, to show you little synchronicities that happen seemingly out of the blue, when you align your thinking and doing with the Mind of God, when you are grateful for what you have, rather than complain about what is missing. They support you in discovering more and more of the power that you have when aligned with your Presence.
Even in your human life, when you’re strong and vital and mentally alert, when you need to get some food, do you think you are giving your power away to the grocery store or the shopkeepers when you go to them to buy what you need? Or are you grateful for providing you the fresh fruit and vegetables you need without having to grow them, harvest or pick them?
So turn to your Spiritual team of helpers in the same way you turn to your human helpers, not with rejection of their assistance and proud of the power you have to look after yourself. Now that you have grown to adulthood, you’re welcome to do all the work yourself if you feel that’s the best way. You don’t have to ask for Angelic help, if you feel it’s inappropriate. As always, it is your choice how to live your life! But if you don’t like the life you have, wouldn’t you prefer to have an Angelic one? Where no problems exist?
